The property known as Coleton Fishacre, was designed and built by one of Edward Lutyens's students in the Arts and Crafts style. It is a beautiful property which is under the care of The National Trust, who look after the house and the acres of sumptuous gardens, that run down to the south west coastal path. The house was built for the D'Oyly Cartes, who were big in theatrics and who also owned a number of hotels in London in the 1930s, including The Savoy.
